
The first Bollywood movie to get a 100-crore return at the box office was Ghajini. Ghajini started the 100-crore trend and everybody started racing against time to score 100 crores at the box office.

The record of the first Bollywood movie to gross 200 crore also belongs to Aamir Khan. His films first touched the 200-crore mark at the box office.

The films that reached the 100-crore mark the fastest were two – SRK starrer Chennai Express and Hrithik Roshan starrer Krissh 3. They reached their target in just four days.

The highest grossing film belongs to Aamir Khan again with 340.8 crores (lifetime collection) for the film PK. Salman Khan is a close second for Bajrangi Bhaijaan (320.34 crores).

The actor with the most number of 100-crore films is of course Salman Khan. No prizes for guessing that. He has got nine 100-crore plus films. He is followed by Shah Rukh Khan with 6 100-crore plus film. Ajay Devgn is in the third position with five 100-crore plus films.

Among heroines, the record for the most 100-crore plus films is held by jointly by Kareena Kapoor-Khan (6) and Deepika Padukone (6). Sonakshi Sinha comes in second with five 100-crore plus films, followed by Katrina Kaif (4).

Among directors Rohit Shetty has left everybody behind after scoring six 100-crore plus films. There are too many people in the second position, all with two 100-crore plus films. They are Rajkumar Hirani, Sanjay Leela Bhansali, AR Murugadoss and Kabir Khan with two superhits each.
