Ruchi Mukherjee is the Editor and Founder of Lights Camera Action Houston Society News Online Magazine in Houston, Texas.

She started her career in journalism and reporting with The Times of India, her stories have journeyed from India’s notorious red light districts, to NASA, to interviews with Hollywood royalties like George Clooney, Tilda Swinton, Eva Longria to Bollywood favorites like Amitabh Bachchan, Waheeda Rehman and Zeenat Aman.

At present, she is host of International Mothers’ Day Awards Soiree, a TV Host, Society Columnist making several appearances on FOX 26, ABC 13.

She was a regular Sunday Lifestyle Feature Columnist for The Statesman, India Abroad, India Express, and many other New York based magazines. Ruchi represents various high-end Houston based luxury brands such as The Vintage Contessa, Lexis Florist, Gabriela Dror Millinery Designs, Josephine Spa, AR Designers By Arefa Merchant and Connie Kwan Wong Collections.

Her magazine Lights Camera Action is an online lifestyle society magazine catering to Houston’s South Asian American community. Her goal is to provide a perfect blend of both South Asian and mainstream features to support the integrated lifestyle of our community.

With a keen interest for fashion and style, Ruchi covers Houston’s best events chic galas to community events, restaurant openings, she has it all covered.

Along with her stint with journalism and reporting Ruchi takes active initiative to volunteer for various non-profit organizations that involve women and children.

She was nominated by the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society for the 2011 Man & Woman of the Year Campaign and won the Citizenship Award for Media/Community Involvement.

She has raised many dollars for many charity organizations.
