The Indespensible Character Artistes

A good movie is simply incomplete without good character artists. Every film maker will agree that character artists add their own flavour to a movie as they essentially take the story forward.  We  take a look at various character artistes especially the new breed who  have essentially carved a place for themselves not only in Bollywood but in the hearts of their fans too.

Nawazuddin Siddiqui:  He started with small roles in films like John Matthew Mathan’s Sarfarosh, Raj Kumar Hirani’s Munnabhai MBBS or Anusha Rizvi’s Peepli Live, Nawaz had to struggle with bit roles before he made his mark in Bollywood.  It was Sujoy Ghosh’s Kahaani that established him as an actor. Thereafter there was no looking back for him.  He went on to give hits  like  Paan Singh Tomar, Gangs Of Wasseypur,  Talaash, Badlapur  and Lunch Box followed.  Until director Suparn Verma cast him in the lead in Aatma.  Later Salman Khan cast him in the negative role in Kick. He also played the  pivotal character of  Chand Nawab a  journalist from  Pakistan’s Television Channel in Bajrangi Bhaijaan which won him rave reviews and garnered a lot of appreciation from critics and fans alike. Ketan Mehta cast him in the  biopic  Manjhi The Mountain Man  based on Dashrath Manjhi. He went on to do films like  Raman Raghav and Raees and is now looking forward to some interesting movies like  Munna Micheal where he will be grooving to some dance music with Tiger Shroff.

Zeeshan Ayub: Zeeshan Ayub was one of the struggling actors of  Bollywood who tried to make his foothold in Hindi Cinema.  It was his role as Dhanush’s best friend  Murari in  Raanjhana that made him stand apart from the crowd.
