We all know that Nawazuddin Siddiqui came from a very humble background to rise to dizzying heights of stardom. But there are certain curious facts about him that no one is aware about. Here are five such facts.

He is married to Anjali, who likes to stay away from the spotlight : ‎Nawazuddin’s wife is also from a village in Uttar Pradesh like him. In fact, she belongs to a neighbouring village in Budhna, in Uttar Pradesh.

‎He never had the luxury to watch films : Nawazuddin Siddiqui never watched a lot of Bollywood films before he became an actor because he had no opportunity. The nearest theatre was miles away from his village and it was not possible for him to go there often. In fact, before landing in the big city, he had seen only five Bollywood films!

Nawazuddin was a watchman : Nawazuddin took the job of a building watchman because that would give him sometime to practice his acting skills. He also briefly worked as a chemist to sustain himself. All this time when he was in Mumbai, his wife continued to live in the village.

Nawaz was always cast as a poor guy in his earlier roles : In fact, it was Kahaani where he was cast in suits for the first time. Before that Nawaz was frequently cast as a character who had no money. 

The first kiss of Nawaz  ‎was on screen : Yes you guessed it right, he hadn’t even kissed his wife before. The first kiss of Nawaz’s life was with his Miss Lovely co-star Niharika Singh.
