SRK,
whose palatial bungalow is a landmark in Mumbai, says it is his safe-zone

Come to Mumbai and ask any taxi driver or an
auto-rickshaw wallah to take you to
SRK’s house and you won’t find a single person say he doesn’t know where it is.
After all, Mannat, the palatial heritage bungalow that houses Shah Rukh Khan
and his family, is a landmark for millions.

We all are extremely attached and emotional when
it comes to our house and Shah Rukh is not an exception. The second richest
actor in the world, who owns some ultra-luxurious properties across the world,
feels most comfortable at Mannat, which he calls his ‘safe-zone.’

Shah Rukh says, “Allah has been kind to me that my
house has become a landmark as you say. I never had a house when I was growing
up. A home is where your solitude, happiness, childhood and parentage reside
with you. It’s a place where you can go away and feel secure. I think you
should have four walls and a roof over your head where you feel secure from the
world; I feel like that in Mannat.”

But in a city like Mumbai, not everyone is lucky
enough to own such an enviable house that he does. To which, SRK says, “I think
everybody’s desire, at least in the real world, is to own a house. I wish
everybody’s house is like that but a home is actually built by people who live
there. And I believe that everybody takes on a house to make it home.”
