It is said that beauty lies in our hair and every celebrity takes pride in having good healthy mane. Actors spend loads of money and time at spas for their hair care. But when it comes to roles these very actor are ready to shave off their head. However there are a few who did not have the courage to shed off their beautiful tresses and have used prosthetic for the role.

Kangana Ranaut: The actress went bald for her role in  her film  Katti Batti directed by Nikhil Advani.  The character that the actress played in the film suffered from a terminal illness. However she used  prosthetics for the bald look.

Ranveer Singh: The actor  shaved his head off for his film Bajirao Mastani, where he plays the role of Bajirao. Although the actor was uncertain about it in the beginning, he became comfortable later.  

Vinay Pathak:  Actor Vinay Pathak, went bald for the biopic Gour Hari Dastaan.

Priyanka Chopra:  She sported a bald look for her role in the Mary Kom. Where the boxer goes bald in anger.  But the actress used prosthetics for the role.  

Shahid Kapoor: Shahid went bald for his role in Vishal Bhardwaj’s Haider.

Emraan Hashmi: The actor went bald for his role in Vikram Bhatt’s film Mr X for a scene when he is burnt and his body is charred by radioactive materials. But again the actor used prosthetics for the role.
