There are many Bollywood actors who started with TV as a medium. But there are a few specific Bollywood actors who started doing TV serials to earn a living. Here are seven such Bollywood actors who actually started doing television soaps as a means of livelihood before they started their career in films.

Shah Rukh Khan : We all know this name. He is the most famous import from television and he started with a TV serial called Fauji and then he did Circus. Soon he was into films and became a superstar.

Vidya Balan : Not many know that she started off with Ekta Kapoor’s serial Hum Paanch. She was a very popular character who was partly deaf in the serial.

Sushant Singh Rajput : We think many have forgotten that he started his career with the immensely popular serial “Pavitra Rishta”. 

R Madhavan : Madhavan was a permanent fixture in a lot of TV serials before he became a hit on the big screen. He acted in Banegi Apni Baat and Ghar Jamaai among others.

Irrfan Khan : He also started his life with TV serials. He has done such popular serials like Chanakya and Bharat Ek Khoj. 

Rajeev Khandelwal : He was a well known TV actor before he stepped into films. He was the lead in serials like Kya Hadsa Kya Haqeeqat.

Prachi Desai : She was an Ekta Kapoor serial heroine before she migrated into films. We have seen her in such serials like ’Kasamh Se’.
