Indian television has time and again given some really
promising actors to its big brother, Bollywood and 2015 too was no exception.
While we ready ourselves to welcome some promising newcomers in the industry,
we take a flashback at some of the talented actors who proved their mettle and
acting skills, and are now all set to score higher in 2016.

Karan Singh Grover : Television’s handsome hunk Karan Singh Grover set the
silver screen on fire in 2015 with his Bollywood debut opposite the sultry diva
Bipasha Basu in a horror film Alone after
his successful stint on TV. The actor who enjoyed humongous success and fan
following on the small screen always had all that it takes to make it to the
big screen, be it his physique or appeal or his acting skills. The actor is
enjoying a very good space in Bollywood especially after his recently released
film Hate Story 3 that fetched him a
lot of critical acclaim.

Vikrant Massey : The actor who appeared in the popular TV show Balika Vadhu grabbed a lot of attention
as the young Shyam. The blue-eyed boy charmed the viewers with his natural
acting and added freshness to the plot. He did many other shows on TV and
simultaneously appeared in films like Lootera
and Dil Dhadakne Do. The actor also
has few short films to his credits. He recently turned producer with a short
film titled ‘35mm’. The actor will be seen in Konkona Sen Sharma’s directorial
debut film, ‘Death at the Gunj’. Must say, the actor is on the right track!

Barun Sobti : The actor garnered lot of name and fame with shows like Baat Hamari Pakki Hai and Iss Pyar Ko Kya Naam Doon. After
becoming a household name, the actor disappeared from TV for a minimal time to
soon surprise his fans with his Bollywood debut in Main Aur Mr. Right

Kapil Sharma : Mr. Funny Bones of television, who is better known as the
King of Comedy today made a breakthrough debut in films with his first feature
film Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon. The
cherry on the cake was that the film was directed by Abbas-Mastan, one of the
most reputed directors from the industry. This is the first time a stand-up
comedian got a chance to play the lead in an Abbas-Mustan directorial.

Gurmeet Choudhary : The most loved ‘Ram’ of small screen who earned lot of
success by his television stint made his foray in Bollywood with Vikram Bhatt’s
Khamoshiyan. The actor also has several
reality shows to his credits. The actor has done it all – from playing
Lord Ram to a ghost in the film, thereby proving his potential, versatility and
graph as an actor.
