The star who has had a spectacular run at the ticket counters expects Tamasha to surpass Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani

There is no doubt that Deepika Padukone has had an enviable run at the box office for the last three years and everything she touched, has turned into gold. Right from Race 2 to Piku – all her films have been blockbusters and Deepika expects Tamasha to continue the magic.

Come December and the actress will enthral the audience as Mastani in Bajirao Mastani. However, her next, Tamasha is what the audience seems to be waiting for, considering the film marks her coming together with ex-beau, Ranbir Kapoor.

The last time, Deepika and Ranbir acted together was in Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani (YJHD), it became the biggest hit of their careers and hence the expectations from Tamasha are sky-high. 

When asked if she too expects Tamasha to surpass all that YJHD had achieved, Deepika says, “I really hope so and would like to believe that it would surpass the audience’s expectations. Tamasha is the most special film of my life. We would want every film of our’s to be better than the previous one we did together.”

Deepika continues in the same breath, “YJHD was equally special for Ranbir and me, and we would obviously want Tamasha to do better not only in terms of box office, but also in terms of the love that we as actors got for YJHD. I hope Tamasha enhances that experience.”
