Salman Khan and Aashika Bhatia on the set of ‘Prem Ratan Dhan Payo’ earlier this month
With the buzz on the promo and song of his upcoming film release Kick yet to die, there have been reports of Salman Khan having already given his first shot for Sooraj Barjatya’s Prem Rattan Dhan Paayo early this week on 22 June.
However, the fact is that the actor is all set to give the mahurat shot for the film today (26 June 2014). The film is currently being shot at ND Studio at Karjat.
Prem Rattan… marks the return of the one of the best star-director jodis in Bollywood.
It was Sooraj Barjatya’s directorial debut Maine Pyar Kiya that gave Salman Khan a new lease of life after a lacklustre debut. He became a sensational find after the film.
The pair later went on to create history with Hum Aapke Hai Koun, which ranks among Bollywood’s biggest grossers of all times. They last worked together in Hum Saath Saath Hain in 1999. Now that they have reunited again for a film after 15 years, it’s creating a lot of speculation for more than one reason — one of them being Salman’s track record of blockbusters and an image that’s hailed as the superstar of the masses.
The film Prem Rattan… not only sees him paired opposite Sonam Kapoor, it stars the actor in a double role. The initial phase of shooting will be shot in a portion of the sets that is said to be Delhi.
Salman will then return to Mumbai to shoot a song for Kick at Mehboob Studio on June 28; the song, composed by Honey Singh, will be shot with Nargis Fakhri.
