The Khan-tastic Actress of Bollywood

B-town
hottie Anushka Sharma is in the news these days and no, it has got nothing to do
with her separation from ex-beau Virat Kohli. In fact, she is making headlines
for the right reasons. The ‘PK’ star, leaving all her contemporaries behind,
managed to bag the lead role opposite Salman Khan in his next action-drama,
‘Sultan’ and that makes her the 11th actress to work with the Khan trinity –
Salman, Shah Rukh and Aamir – something that is considered to be an achievement in
its own right! We bring you a list of 10 other actresses who were lucky enough
to have worked with all three box-office emperors in the past…

Katrina
Kaif :
The gorgeous lass of B-town has worked
with almost every Bollywood superstar in her career that spans over a decade
and has been fortunate to have given blockbusters with each of them. Being one
of the most successful and sought-after actresses of B-town, it was only
understandable that Katrina was the first choice of every actor, including the
superstar Khans. Katrina, apart from giving numerous superhits with Akshay
Kumar, has done a few films with her alleged ex-beau Salman Khan, followed by Jab Tak Hai Jaan with his then
arch-rival Shah Rukh Khan and later a blockbuster Dhoom 3 with Aamir. Interestingly, Katrina has done a film each
with all three Khans under the prestigious Yash Raj banner too! Now that’s
something she can be eternally proud of!

Kareena
Kapoor :
She is known to be a favourite among the
Khan trinity and shares superb rapport with all three superstars apart from
being married to the fourth Khan – Saif Ali! While her coming together with
hubby Saif hasn’t added commercial success to her repertoire, her films with
Salman, Shah Rukh and Aamir have been blockbusters to say the least. In fact,
her chemistry with Ajay Devgn has added more hits to her CV than with Saif. We
now wish to see this versatile actor coming together with her supremely
talented cousin Ranbir Kapoor in a film that would bring the best out of a
brother-sister relationship on screen.

Karisma
Kapoor :
Before Kareena had even thought of
getting into the film industry, her talented elder sister, Karisma Kapoor had
already worked with all three Khans pretty early in her career. Interestingly,
it was on the sets of Karisma-Salman Khan starrer Nischay where Kareena had accompanied her sister and had met Salman
for the first time. Who would have thought that the ‘Dabangg’ Khan would become
Begum Bebo’s ‘Bodyguard’, albeit on screen? With films like Raja Hindustani
with Aamir, Dulhan Hum Le Jaayenge
with Salman and Dil Toh Pagal Hai
with Shah Rukh, Karisma was one of the reigning actresses of her time, and
rightly so!

Madhuri
Dixit :
The one and only ‘dhak dhak’ girl of
B-town, who could make a million men skip a heartbeat with her infectious
smile, too has been fortunate enough to have worked with all three blockbuster
Khans. Or should we say, the Khans were fortunate enough to have worked with Madhur
Dixit more than once in their careers? Aamir worked with Madhuri in Dil when he had just started off and she
was already a star. She is one of the very few actors to have worked with both
Salman and SRK in the same film – Hum
Tumhare Hain Sanam
. Her coming together with SRK in films like Anjaam, Dil Toh Pagal Hai and Koyla,
and with Salman in Hum Aapke Hain Koun…!
spelled success with a capital ’S’! Although she has taken a backseat for now,
we wish to see her back creating some more magic with the Khan trinity, albeit
in separate films.

Kajol : A true powerhouse of talent, Kajol is
the only actress apart from Madhuri Dixit and Mamta Kulkarni to have worked
with Shah Rukh and Salman in the same film – Rakesh Roshan’s reincarnation
drama, Karan Arjun and Karan Johar’s Kuch Kuch Hota Hai. Although she was
romantically paired in just one film each with Salman (Pyaar Kiya Toh Darna Kya) and Aamir (Fanaa), do we even need to mention what unbelievable magic her
chemistry with Shah Rukh Khan has created on screen in the last more than two
decades. Although their last film Dilwale
didn’t receive favourable response from the audience, we are sure they will be
strike back with a bang!

Juhi
Chawla :
Truly a charmer and one of the most
versatile actors of her time, Juhi had the talent of overshadowing her male
co-stars and Khans too are no exception to this. Interestingly, Juhi and Aamir
started their B-town journey together in Qayamat
Se Qayamat Tak
and later gave a few super hits like Hum Hain Rahi Pyaar Ke and Ishq
to name a few. In fact, Juhi walked away with great critical acclaim in films
like Yes Boss and Raju Ban Gaya Gentleman in which she was
paired with SRK during the latter’s early years. In fact, SRK still hadn’t
become The Shah Rukh Khan and it was Juhi who stole the limelight. Although she
hasn’t been romantically paired with Salman per se, he did play her love
interest in the film Deewana Mastana in which he had a cameo.

Manisha
Koirala :
The Dil
Se
actress, who has been on a long sabbatical owing to medical reasons,
surely finds her name inked in the list of actors who have worked with Aamir,
Salman and SRK in her career. For those who came in late, Manisha and Salman
did three films together – Sangdil Sanam
back in 1994, and Yeh Majdhaar and Khamoshi – The Musical in 1996 which was
critically acclaimed. Manisha later went on to work with SRK in Mani Ratnam’s Dil Se and gave two wonderful  films like Akele Hum Akele Tum and Mann
with Aamir. Hindi cinema is missing one of its great talents and we hope and
wish that Manisha makes a grand comeback on the silver screen sooner than
expected.

Rani
Mukherji :
The ‘queen’ of Bollywood, Rani Mukherjee
who now happens to be the empress of the biggest production empire of
Bollywood, Yash Raj Films, too is a proud member of the Khan-tastic Actresses
Club. Although she did over half a dozen films with Salman, none of them
created as much magic as her coming together with Aamir in Ghulam, Mangal Pandey: The Rising and Talaash. However, what takes the cake is her track record with Shah
Rukh Khan. With hits like Chalte Chalte,
Kuch Kuch Hota Hai
, Kabhi Alvida Na
Kehna
and a considerable cameo in Kabhi
Khushi Kabhie Gham
, we wonder whats stopping her from doing more films with
SRK, or for that matter, with all three Khans who she happens to share
fantastic rapport with?

Preity
Zinta :
The recently married Preity Zinta, who is now
officially a ‘goodenough’ actor of Bollywood is one of the privileged few to
have worked with Salman, Shah Rukh and Aamir in her career. Like Rani,
although her chemistry with Salman was loved by many, it sadly didn’t transform
on screen or at the box office. However, she managed to give quite a few hits
with SRK like Dil Se, Kal Ho Naa HoKabhi Alvida Na Kehna and Veer Zara.Interestingly, she has done
only one film with Aamir Khan but that went on to become a cult classic and
will continue to remain so for decades to come –Dil Chahta Hai! Now that she is ‘preity’ much settled, we want this
‘goodenough’ actor to come back to what she is best at – acting!

Urmila
Matondkar :
The newest bride in the B-town, Urmila
Matondkar, too tied the knot recently to her Kashmiri boyfriend Mohsin Akhtar Mir.
However, before going on a self-imposed sabbatical from films, Urmila gave
enough reasons for us to believe that she is undoubtedly one of the best and
the most versatile actresses around. Why else would she get to work with all
three Khans in diametrically opposite films? While she did a film Chamatkar with Shah Rukh Khan pretty
early in their career, her film with Salman, Janam Samjha Karo is not remembered either as a critically
acclaimed or commercial hit film. But when it comes to Aamir, it’s a different
ball game together, what with Rangeela
becoming a milestone film of both the actors’ careers. Watch this cult classic
again and you would want Urmila to make a comeback to films and silver screen,
asap!
